Struggling big time.....

....I have finished all my pre-op requirements except that my doctor wants me to lose 50 lbs pre-op! Just feels overwhelming. :(

    I think I'd find another doctor. If one could lose 50lbs before surgery, why have the surgery at all?

  • I only had to lose 10 pounds pre-op. My husband had to lose 30. It might be based on how much weight you have to lose overall. I know the pre-op weight loss is important, but it seems like an impossib

  • My doctor wants me lose weight also, so far I have lost 31 pounds, but he did not give me certain amount to lose, going by my stomach thickness and wants me to cut out carbs. You can do it.
