I was on the 24th!! How r u doing?

me too

I had my surgery on the 24th in Nashville. I am doing well. I am still trying to figure out what to eat each day. How are you doing?

I am down 30lbs and my blood sugars are perfect!!!!!

I'm doing good , down 30 lbs also. I feel great most of the time , but occasionally struggle with getting tired . Absolutely no discomfort , and still trying to figure out a meal plan/ schedule. I am tracking my calories and find it difficult to go over 600 cal per day. That's probably why I'm still tired! How are all doing ?

Doing really well. I have my good days and bad days as far as how much protein I get in! I know I need to get into a routine, and door the most part I do. Most of the time I am just not hungry!

Hi all. I'm grateful that I don't seem to have any major issues. I worry more that I'm going to eat too much and not lose. I'm a snacker and nothing seems to upset my stomach so it's a mind over matter challenge to not snack on sweets or bad carbs. I hope the willpower lasts long term, I've already cheated enough times to make me feel quite guilty and depressed.

Yes, I have those moments when I struggle with will power too. Since we are over 5 weeks out we physically feel good, so we think we can pick up anything and eat it. It is a mind game.

I am trying to remember that I have been given a second chance and I don't want to blow it. I am trying to be accountable to someone.

This is the last chance I have to loose this large amount of weight, improve my health, and feel good. I want to take this opportunity and run with it. You can do it too!!!!!

I was also sept 24th....I feel great. .no issues with food. Am doing 38lbs as of this morning....best decision I ever made.

I was on the 26th. I find I can't eat a lot of food still. But I've been doing good other than that. 30lbs down. What is everyone eating? I've been eating cheese and deli meat. Crab and chicken.

I'm a bad example but i eat protein meats first... Ground beef with lots of crushed tomatoes ( spaghetti sauce), salmon, cheese, Greek yogurt, chicken, hummus, guac, tomato soup, meatballs, cauliflower mushed up, eggs. My Nut said I can eat most any protein/veg as long as it's soft and I chew it up good.

I just came back from a girls weekend in Atlantic City. At 6 weeks post op, I was so worried about would I eat - or what could I eat? I also didn't want to be the center of attention when we were picking meals. Guess what? I found I could eat pretty much anything I wanted, albeit tiny portions. I enjoyed some eggplant Parm, Veal cutlet , eggs, bacon, mini cheese burger( no bread) a glass of wine, some pancake, and a little Pasta over 2 1/2 days . I also brought my Protein shakes, apple sauce, instant cream of wheat as a safety net . My portions were small , but I was satisfied. I even sampled a cannoli!

Bottom line is at 6 weeks, I can enjoy many (most) foods in small quantities. I also came home 2 lbs lighter.! I try to make good choices, accept my portion limits , and I realize an occasional indiscretion won't derail my weight loss.

Hello to all those done in September 2013, especially 9/24/13. How is it going? I seem to be at a plateau. I am down 42 pounds but have been here for about a week. I find that struggle with wanting to snack at night. I do try to eat protein first still. I hope to drop a few pounds soon. I do feel great. Merry Christmas to you all!!!!

Hang I there. Stalls are common. I'm at about the same rate if loss as you and hit a stall over thanksgiving but have lost a few lbs in the past 10 days.

,

Congratulations to all of you on your weight loss success!!!! Reading your post are motivating me at a times I'm wondering if my experience is normal.

I had my WLS on 11/14/13, SW 266, includes pre-op CW 242, GW 165.

I thought to join in on the September group to learn from your experiences. Everyone on my November group seems be in what most are referring a "stall" and I'm right there with them.

I'm getting in all my fluids, Proteins and small meals. My greatest challenge is not walking enough due to low back and right knee injury.

I feel guilty when I eat my small meals, as if it's causing me not to lose weight.

Few questions

Did you experience this as well, this stall within your 4 to 6 weeks post-op?

When did you start losing or seeing results again, like when on pre-op liquid diet?

What are you using for your scars?

Are you shedding lots of hair?

What Iron Vitamins taste or works for best you?

Thank you in advance for your feedback and experiences!!
