  3. Hello to all those done in September 2013, especially 9/24/13. How is it going? I seem to be at a plateau. I am down 42 pounds but have been here for about a week. I find that struggle with wanting to snack at night. I do try to eat protein first still. I hope to drop a few pounds soon. I do feel great. Merry Christmas to you all!!!!
  4. Yes, I have those moments when I struggle with will power too. Since we are over 5 weeks out we physically feel good, so we think we can pick up anything and eat it. It is a mind game. I am trying to remember that I have been given a second chance and I don't want to blow it. I am trying to be accountable to someone. This is the last chance I have to loose this large amount of weight, improve my health, and feel good. I want to take this opportunity and run with it. You can do it too!!!!!
  5. I am 53, I had my surgery 9/24. I am down 30lbs at week 5. It seems things are slowing down as far as weight loss. It makes me nervous to not drop pounds as fast as I did in the beginning. I think my taste buds are waking up!!!. I feel I have been given a second chance and I don't want to blow it. I have been able to stop my blood sugars meds and BP meds. I have no regrets about this surgery. It has already been a blessing.
  6. I had my surgery on the 24th in Nashville. I am doing well. I am still trying to figure out what to eat each day. How are you doing? I am down 30lbs and my blood sugars are perfect!!!!!
  7. Thank you for all the excitement and enthusiasm. I have only recently started my journey. I am 53, I had wondered if I would be too old. I am planning my surgery for this fall probably Oct. or Nov.
