I tried one when I was on liquids and it tasted horrible. I love regular snowcones but the sugar free ones taste like eating ice with sweet and low on it.

My wife and I eat them almost daily, with no issues (I'm almost 15 weeks post op and she is 6 weeks out). She initially had problems with fluid intake, but the fine shaved ice from the snowballs has been no problem.

I have one almost every day too. Don't know what I would do without them.

I was at the fair last week and came upon a sno cone stand. I asked how's the sugar free ones. The young lady tilted her head a said "well.... They're sugar free." Paid my $40 or so bucks, took one bite and tossed it.
