No sleep

Yesterday started the ever so fun diarrhea after doing some searching on the forums I've found this is pretty normal. What I haven't heard is it keeping someone awake all night I can't find a comfortable position cause my abdomen will get tight and then feel like I'm being stabbed until I get up and sit on the toilet. I'm walking all the time and I've taken GasX strips but I don't know what else I can do I'm about to lose my mind from the exhaustion.

Oh, that's awful :( Will your dr let you take Imodium? Some allow it. My diarrhea lasted several days but is better now (day 7).

She is out of town right now and for the next week :(

My diarrhea lasted about a week until I started eating pureed foods. I was more comfortable propped up on the couch then in bed- I could not get comfortable in bed for almost two weeks. Unfortunately, the first two weeks just plain suck, and there is not much you can do.... BUT, but week 3 you will start feeling great, so hang in there!

A surgeon can't just leave for a week with no one on call!!
