Gratuitous ONEDERLAND Post!

Recommended Posts

Who goes on vacation weighing 202.8, leaves the scale at home, imbibes in a bit too much wine and pineapple rum, grazes a little on dry Snacks, steals a few bites of ice cream and still loses 3.4 pounds, now weighing in at 199.4?

This girl right here!

Now I am back to tracking, back to the exercise routine and determined to loosen up these size 14s I could button today. (Ignore the screaming wedgie in the back, I will not be wearing these quite yet.)

Wooooot!

Congratulations, welcome to wonderland! Sounds like you had a great vacation!

You will be trotting around in those 14's before you know it, without a wedgie. ;)

Thanks all!! I'm excited.

Oddly, I've only had four people notice my weight loss up till today. Really??? Sixty pounds lost and no one can see it? Then today, I had four random people ask me about it saying they REALLY see a big difference.

Can I get a WHAT!! WHAT!!! ???

It's true. Both my SIL did not notice any difference until I was - 90. At -80, I was a little disturbed they said "I looked the same." Who says this about -80 lb drop? I am sure 10-20 more lbs and people will notice your changes. If not, slap them with a wet noodle. :)

Congrats on the great progress...know we are both May sleevers...I just passed the 60 lb milestone (but started 50 lbs higher than you), and am just starting to have people who didn't know about surgery notice...I am losing it "all over" so I haven't had the immense satisfaction of having pre-surgery clothes "falling off" yet...although I am in smaller sizes, which I had ample supply of in my closet.

Welcome to onderland! And those that aren't noticing yet? Hold on to your soon-to-be too big size 14s cuz the next thing you will hear them say is "you're too skinny- you better not lose any more weight"

Congrats!

Lynda

I have hit onederland also. Surgery June 3 at239 and now 194. Seems to be going slow as compared to some others. Gone from to an 18 pants to a 14...almost a 12. I'm having a very hard time eating anything with any solidarity. Very hard time eating or eating Protein. Exercising by riding bike or walking 30 minutes at least 5 times per day. Any pointers for me? Any ideas of what I can eat to satisfy calories and protein and to help weight loss start back?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
