I have went for my consultation with bariatric counselor and meet with surgeon the first time on August 22. I was wondering what is typical pre op test that the doctor will order?

I was terrified, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it sounds. It's no big deal. My blood pressure was in the near fatal range before hand:).

I'm getting ready for a long ride! Lol Manometry sounds painful. I can't stand stuff up my nose. A flu swab test is the worst! Lol

I can report my experience since I have one scheduled for Wednesday. Not reality looking forward to this one but will be nice before surgery to know of any problems that may exist for me.

That is very true! These are small things compared to how this procedure will change our lives! I would like a report though if you don't mind!

I agree, each as individuals. My EKG was because of a history of anxiety related PVCs. I have a month long Holter monitor report that shows me as fine but he was concerned the anesteologist would have an issue with my Hx. I did just find out the hospital where I'm going has mandatory pre op testing when you go in for early admission (a week pre op) they do Labs, an EKG and a Chest X-ray. I know a girl who received a call the night before surgery that due to a concern with her labs they were postponing her surgery. I would freak out.... She did.
