Ohio here

I am looking into the band and it seems great and its seems to be for me! I battled my weight all my life, been on all the diets including prescription drugs. I am 5'4 (small frame) with a 36 BMI...so I do not "qualify" to get banded in the US. I have been looking into Canada and Mexico and people seem to have good experiences. But living right in the middle of Ohio does help me if I would need a fill if my doctor is a $400-$600 plane ride away (that would add up). I have researched the fill centers but there does not seem to be one close to me. Does anyone live in Ohio, got thier band out of the country, but gets fills back in Ohio...or anyone one in a similar situation? Also, how much does a fill cost when it is not with you original band doctor?

Thanks! I am really excited that I found this sight!

Laura, I just responded to your post a few lines up. With a lower BMI, check into Cincy weight loss center. Doc Osborne will operate on lower BMI people. I don't know what the costs are with docs out of the country, but being in the same state may even out the costs. It's also a same day thing with them so you don't have to stay overnight. (unless you have other health problems...) Their web site is www.CincyWeightLoss.com. I found them from a commercial during the Dr Phil show lol.

Our insurance covers BMI over 35 with 2 comorbidities.. check your policy, check with your employer.. you may be qualified.. BUT Lots and lots of people on here have went to Mexico with great results.

GOOD LUCK!
