Meeting Surgeon Tomorrow!

Hey guys :) So I am meeting with my surgeon tomorrow... Any ideas on what to expect?

So far I've gotten verbal approval that insurance does cover the procedure, PCP referral & nutritionist referral... they said meeting the surgeon was the next step.

Any ideas on what I should expect? Will I be scheduling my surgery tomorrow, or is that still a long ways out? I know I still have a lot of tests and stuff to do ahead of time (I think?) but I do know my insurance does not require the 6 month nutritional counseloring, nor does the surgeon require the 2 week pre-op liquid diet.

Any input will be much appreciated!

i meet with my surgeon today! I have already completed all my prerequirements for my insurance, so today i get a surgery date!!! which is usually 2 weeks after you meet with the surgeron!

When I let with the surgeon it included a health history, a discussion about expectations, a physical exam of the abdomen and bunch of q and a. Scheduling came quite a bit later after all tests were completed.

I have done all my test already. the only thing i have left is to meet with the surgeon. i'll be getting my surgery date today!! im so excited lol. Is there any questions you would recommend me asking about??

Awesome!! I met my surgeon last week and its a go! I have to have a EGD first and do my nutrition meeting and psych eval. My doc said its about a six week wait due to his schedule!

Hey guys :) So the meeting with the surgeon went well last month... He basically went over all the details, made sure I was a candidate, etc. I had my EKG, ABGs, Xrays, and blood work done last week. Tomorrow is my final meeting with the nutritionist and surgeon, and my surgery is schedule for next week! (The 18th). Totaly time from first meeting with the nutritionist, all the tests and appointments, insurance approval, to surgery, was less than 2 months. Can't complain about that :)

My surgeon does the "physician supervised diet" himself. So next week is my 2nd appt with him. Passed my psych eval already.... Just waiting on the next steps. Time is dragging!!!!

that is great awpanda99!! i got my surgery date yesterday!! Getting sleeved on Sept 25th!!!!! i'm soooooo excited lol

i know right lol! i'm getting real nervous

First mtg with nut on Monday... And my doc has biweekly education meetings with people waiting for their dates. It was nice to connect with people face to face... Looking at a February date I think... My insurance requires a 6 month diet first.
