EKG--Consider yourself Lucky

I was 5 days away from my surgery when I was diagnosed aith A. Fib. There's a problem with my heart rhythm, and I'm now on 2 more medications, my surgery has to be cancelled, and I am in line for many more tests in the coming weeks.

I am trying to look on the bright side of things. Had this problem not been found, I could have likely had a stroke before, during, or after surgery. (and I am 39) Please send good thoughts my way that this can be remedied and that no other heart problems are found. Naybe I can still have the surgery someday?

I hope they can figure it out and you can still move forward. It is good that they found this. Good luck.

Hopefully they don't find anything else & you could move forward with surgery :)

You have an amazing and wonderful perspective on this. I hope the treatment and testing work out and that you will be able to have surgery.

I have had 2 iepisodes of AFib. I was able to have a successful surgery and I hope the same for you. We complain about the time it takes to have these tests done - we want to get on with our surgery- but this very well may have saved your life. Everything happens for a reason!!

Best wishes. I am a true believer that things will work out the way GOD plans. You'll be just fine.

They always say the Lord works in mysterious ways. His plan may not be what I hope it will be. Maybe it's blasphemous or insulting to say this to strangers, but I am not sure I have such blind faith. My father died of heart disease at 47. My baby daughter died of HELLP Syndrome at 4 days of life. Great blessings have come to me in my life, as has unimaginable pain. If there is a plan out there for me, I am hoping I will be rewarded for trying to end the comorbidities that plague me, and this new damn heart condition too.
