I know that lots of people have surgery out of the country and I am assuming fly home to recover but I was curious at 2 weeks out if flying is okay to do?? Not for anything other than visiting family where I will be as pampered as I am at home! Thanks!!

I had to fly to Seattle yesterday for my one week check up and had no issues. If it is a long flight I would say just be sure to get up and move around. Otherwise you should be fine.

....and stay extra hydrated since travel/flying dehydrate you and you will be dehydrated already from the surgery and your diet at that point.

I had surgery in Mexico and flew home at 4 days post-op...totaling around 10 hours of travel time. I had no issues.

I flew cross-country again at about 8 weeks post-op with no issues.

I flew home from Mexico the next day after surgery. I was so tired from walking thru the airport I just closed my eyes and rested. It was ok. No problems.
