January 4, 200719 yr I've not had my surgery yet, however, I just ordered a book "Eating well after weight loss surgery". It give great ideas for each stage, pre-op/post-op diets. The author is a lap band patient. I hope its worth the $15 I spent on it (bought it off Ebay). Hopefully someone will give you some answers. I haven't met with my dietician yet, so not sure exactly what to eat.
January 4, 200719 yr Are you on mushies or liquids? I was just starting mushies when I was about 2 weeks out like you. I ate a lot of yogurt, oatmeal, cream of wheat, refried beans/black Beans with a bit of cheese, tuna, egg salad, canned chicken, creamy Soups, mashed potatoes/sweet potatoes, and smoothies. I also have to cookbook that Sunshine2 mentioned and it has some delicious recipes. Hope this helps! Good luck...
January 4, 200719 yr Tuna mixed as you normally like it and then run thru a food processor until all the lumps are gone. Chili cooked long enough so the Beans are nice and soft. - run it through the food processor to take out any big lumps. Refried beans mixed with enchilada sauce - and queso if you have it. (it's a TX thing...) Pretty much anything you can run through a food processor and still like, go for it. :]
January 5, 200719 yr Congrats on your surgery FancyMan! I would listen to the fine experienced ladies above and get out your food processor
January 7, 200719 yr :hungry: I'm going on my 4th week and I chew a lot of my foods without putting them threw the machine. Is that bad for me?
