The monometry study? I had it last week and its tolerable to say the least... It's pretty quick and then it's over! Good luck

Heehee! So you had the plastic tube the whole 24 hrs?

Wasn't the most pleasant 24 hours of my life but really not that bad. Didn't hurt, strange sensation in throat area that I really can't explain. Almost like every so often I just felt like something was in my throat.

Thanks a lot sorry to be a pain.

Not the same test I guess mine only lasted 15 minutes, they do it to determine the pressure in your esophagus.

I had the Bravo capsule done, it measures the PH and there is no tubes in the nose. They do it under sedation, and then when the stitch dissolves the capsule "passes" through the system. http://www.gastroenterologistpaloalto.com/treatment-bravo-monitor-gastroenterology-palo-alto-ca.html

That's the esophageal manometry, right? They put the tube in your nose, and then have you swallow some fluid correct? It checked the strength and motility of the esophagus.

The endoscopy is very e-z your fast asleep!!! You wake up and walk out!! I see it as every thing will be worth it in the end and while we have to under go unpleasant procedures, keeping focus on a perfect end result works!!
