Dizzy

I'm 3 weeks out on Monday. Been feeling awesome!!! Yesterday I drove about 4.5 hours to a family reunion. Yesterday I had 2 eggs, a protein shake, tomato basil soup and some V-8. The hotel room was really cold over night and when I stood up this morning I thought I might fall over! I've been up for a couple hours now and still haven't quite shaked it....my mother thinks its because I didn't get enough protein yesterday. I had a protein shake earlier and I'm working on an egg now. Any thoughts on my dizziness?

This happened to me earlier in the week (around 2.5 weeks post op). I went to the emergency room as my blood pressure was pretty low. Turns out that I no longer need my blood pressure medication (it was making me dizzy as it was causing my blood pressure to dip to around 95/65). My fluids, nutrition, EKG, etc were all great - just super low blood pressure. I'm now off my blood pressure meds!!!

If your dizziness persists, please have it checked out to make sure it's not something serious. Hope all is well for you soon!

I would try and up the protein intake to about 70+ (try myfitnesspal.com to help keep track) and also the water. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Thanks guys! I'm not on any blood pressure meds but I wonder if my bp is dropping. Lots of old people at the family reunion ;) surely one of them will have a blood pressure tester. Still not feeling great but trying to push through!
