Transitioning to regular foods?

I'm allowed to start regular foods next week and I'm so nervous!! Can anyone recommend some starter foods that they have tolerated well? Foods that didn't sit well? I will be 4 week post op at that time.

The only food that I ever had problems with was eggs. It took a month or so before they didn't make me nauseous. Other than that, I haven't had a problem with any food. Since you are getting food at 4 weeks, I would suggest softer foods like steamed chicken or fish. No heavy sauces or pastas (I don't eat any white foods at all) no fibrous vegetables and minimal starches. Go slow, chew well, proteins first. Remember the drinking rules.

You're probably going to get some great advice from the others but here's a thought: why not go back and try some of the foods you may have tried earlier that you didn't tolerate well back then?
