Really worried because passport had not arrived!

I'm leaving for Mexico this coming Monday the 17th and this is the 4th week waiting on my passport. I'm so worried I will not get it in time!

I think you can call and find out the status of your application. Also, I see repeatedly that all you really are asked for is driver's license and birth certificate. If your birth certificate is with your passport application and you're reallly reallly worried, I'd work on getting another copy as back up before you go.

I think you can go to your regional passport office for same day passports. You may need to call first for an appointment. But, I would first see if you can check on the status of yours.

Best of luck & well wishes for your surgery.

Arrggghhh!!! Of all the crazy things I thought I had received my passport today, instead it was my birth certificate!!! I cannot believe it came before my passport! Most people on here say they receive their passport first then the birth certificate later. This is just my luck! Hello I'm leaving Monday!

Edited to add I just received my passport today 6/15/13! Nothing like waiting till the last minute!
