Beef Consume.

Holy crap this stuff is awesome. I'm one week post op and counting the 2 week liquid diet before surgery I haven't had anything solid in 3 weeks. Long story short until today I've only been drinking (refuse to say eating because its not eating) chicken broth sugar free Jello and popscicles plus my protein(which by the way suck so much ass when mixed with water) today just to try something different I picked up a can of Campbell's Beef Consume warmed it up and put it in my drinking bottle and holy crap it has so much flavor I can't believe I didn't try this sooner or know how great it is.

Also I haven't felt Hungry at all since the day before surgery and the smell of food actually makes me nauseous so I really don't miss food at all. Don't get me wrong cant wait to progress to full liquids and puree but having no problem with just liquids.

You can make consommé yourself. It is stock made with the bones. You simmer the bones along with some meat, vegetables and spices. It's even better if you roast the bones first. It has a much richer taste than plain beef stock.
