My paperwork was submitted June 4th. I was approved on the 5^th and I got my surgery date today, JUNE 26TH. I was picking up my daughter when they called to confirm my surgery date. I screamed so loud that everyone in the parking lot stopped to stare but today was one of the rare days I didn't mind being the center of attention.

I'm so excited, the only thing that gave me pause was the fact that I was asked if I would be interested in having the procedure done with robotic assistance using the Da Vinci Robotic system. I love technology and I trust my surgeon so I think I'm going to let him use the robot.

I'm scheduled for 6/26 too! I had a lap band since January 2005, but it slipped suddenly and I Had emergency surgery to have it removed (while on vacation no less) on April 7. In the two months, I've gained 25 pounds. Decided to have the sleeve before I gain ALL of the weight back. I went from a 4 to a 10 in two months. I miss my band. Praying this works as well, If not better.

I am also June 26!! Glad to find others on the same date!!

So far I think there are 14 of us with June 26 for a surgery date.
