How soon before chlorine/swimming?

I want to join a Water aerobics class this summer and thought that would be a great easy workout for my recovery but am wondering how long before its safe to swim in a public pool, an yes they use chemicals.

Starting weight 321- sleeve date 07/10/10. Sent from my iPhone using VST

I assume you have a typo on your sleeve date and meant to put 07/10/13 and you are not sleeved, yet.

6 weeks is the minimum recommended by my Dr, but you have to be sure all of your incisions are completely scared over. Not healed ... scared over ... sealed completely ... no scabs ... nothing.

So, you would be looking just before Labor Day before getting in the pool.

At my one month exam, my doctor took a look at my completely healed incisions and cleared me for swimming and water aerobics. I wouldn't have done it without him looking at the incisions and approving.

I was told by my doctor two weeks. Every doctor is different.

I was cleared at 4 weeks
