Advice

Hey everyone! I got my sleeve on may 23rd. I was 223 when I went in. One week later I lost 12 lbs, I'm starting to get frustrated because I haven't lost any more for almost a week. Is that normal? I wish I could go to the gym, but all I can do is walk. I feel fine, I have been back to work for a week now and I'm healing great.

I AM 4 WEEK OUT AND HAVE BEEN HOLD STEADY WITH 22 # LOSS SINCE ABOUT WEEK 2 + BUT DROPPED 5 REAL FAST THIS PAST WEEK SO I HOPE I'M PAST THAT LIITLE LAY OVER , I HAVE HEARD SEVERAL PEOPLE SAY THAT. A GAL AT MY DR'S OFFICE'S MONTHLY MEETING SAID SHE LOST 30 REAL FAST AND BY WEEK 3 WAS HOLDING AND KNOW SHE IS LOSING AGAIN TOO. PATIENCE!

Lauralee - the exact same thing happened to me. First week after surgery, lost like 10 lbs, then NOTHING for the next 7 days!! I was getting frustrated too until I talked to a friend who reminded me that my body is traumatized, freaking out, and healing. We get it in our minds that we are just going to lose lose lose - but I had to really have a talk with myself to not be frustrated or annoyed if the scale doesn't move every day. My second week I would actually gain a pound here and there. Think about it logically - there is NO WAY you are really not going to lose weight...I don't think you are cruising thru the Taco Bell drive through :) lol!!!

Just be patient with your body and measure your inches!! I lost those when I wasn't losing weight :) Keep up the good work!
