Does food taste different to y'all? Do have a strange taste in your mouth even if you aren't eating? Going on 11 days post op.

I didn't notice it myself, but some people have posted about having bad breath or having bad tastes post-op. It might be your body going into ketoisis. I have noticed that many foods don't have as much flavor anymore and I sometimes have to double up on my Crystal Light mix to keep it from tasting "watered down".

I find that the artificial sweeteners in the shakes leave a weird, sweet taste in my mouth that's kind of gross. A similar taste can also be from ketosis.

At first, water tasted metallic and that was tough because water had been my go to drink before surgery. After about four months it started tasting wonderful again.

I had that for the first few weeks - definitely ketosis. It's awful. I'm past that now - getting more calories in - but I still can't drink plain water. Thank goodness for SoBe Life Water Zero and Vitamin Water Zero!!
