Drain

I am 1 day post surgery and I have a drain, which makes it extremely hard to sleep. Anyone have any tips for help with sleeping with a drain?

I slept on my back in the hospital. I was there for two nights. After I went home I slept on my side.

Same here, I slept on my back the 2 nights I was in the hospital (actually I slept better in the reclining chair while in the hospital) and then my side or back when I got home. My drain was removed right before I was discharged, so I did not go home with the drain.

I didn't even know I had a drain until I got up to walk. I slept on my sides and back.. Lol.. Obviously, the drain didn't bother me or I would have known it was there.

I am 9 days out. Had mine removed today! For the first time I can sleep comfortably in my bed on my side. Yay!!! Good luck :)
