That's great! I'll be up there at the seminar waiting to hear if I'll even get to have my surgery there. I'm very excited. Even if they say no at least I'll know I have to make a new move and find something I can afford to pay cash for. I'm not thrilled at the thought of going to another country to have it done but my mind is set on doing this one way or another.

So my date has been moved by a couple days. No biggie. My new date is September 10th!! Why does it seem so much sooner!?

Hey Chicago Sleevers, does anyone have any comments, thoughts or ideas that might help with exercise? If so please visit http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/blog/2563/entry-6609-post-op-exercise-combating-the-sag/#commentsStart and start a conversation.

You go girl. How exciting! Here's to a new u! Praying for good health and a speedy recovery!

Ok so I went for my last appointment and met with everyone and found out that I have lost 14 pounds since my last visit. I was really excited that I lost some weight considering I have been watching my food intake for the past 19 days. I am now starting my pre-op diet and it just a low carb, high protein so I get to have 2 weight watchers meals, 1 protein drink, 2 cups of dairy, 1/2 cup fruit, 1 cup vegetable and 8 cups of water. So its about 800-1000 calories a day and 60-100 grams of protein. I am so ready for Aug. 29th so I can start this new journey in my life of a new me. But let not forget to add that I am a little nervous but nothing going to stop me.

Hey you all... Got my sleeve !!! Been very nauseated and I've vomited 4x's today ... Really thirsty but I'm npo to tomorrow. Not much pain just tightness and stiff. I did have the gas in my shoulder earlier but thank GOD !! That went away. Gotten out of bed once to sit in the chair and not really using the morphine pump. Just ready for tomorrow...

Happy it went well. Sorry about the vomiting though. Have they given you anything for it? Helped a lot for me. If you think morphine is what's making you sick then tell them to switch to a different pain killer. You will want it tomorrow. Take it easy and walk it really helps with the gas!

Thank you Cmt7831.... I don't think its the pain meds that we're making me nauseated because I was barely using it. The morphine kept me sleeping so I didn't want to go to sleep.. They have been giving me anti-nausea medication sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Any way I'm feeling a million times better today and waiting on some water (YAY !!!) and for them to remove the foley.

Hi everyone. I just went to my first seminar/information session last night and it sounds like VSG is going to be the best surgical option for me. I have a surgical consult o 8/29 with Dr. Woody Denham. I live about an hour northwest of Chicago.

Take it slow. The first couple of days post op are rough. Once they remove the foley, you will start to feel better.
