2 days post op

Had my surgery on Friday afternoon. I'm to be released from the hospital today. Feeling good. Only prob was nausea after anti nausea meds. I've been able to keep ice chips down. Been ambulating pretty well. Doc was just here and said I can start on full liquids. IM SCARED TO DEATH!!! I must drink some broth and protein before I am released today, to make sure I can keep it down. So happy the worst part is over. Looking forward to my new beginning!!

Congrats!!!

Sounds like you are doing great!! I couldn't really handle anything they gave me in the hospital. The Jello wasn't sugar free, the broth was too salty, they gave me coffee and orange juice (2 big no-nos, IDK why they even gave me that!), and so all I had was Water, ice and some tea that I brought from home. :(

Anyway, you sound good - 2 days post op, I mostly just wanted to sleep! I'm 17 days out now and feeling great - so just know that any pain/discomfort you're having does go away quicker than you think!

Good luck! Congrats on coming over to 'the other side'!! :)

Thank you so much! I'm eating broth now and it's not my favorite but it staying down. Apple juice stayed down but very sour. I've got some other stuff they want me to try, so I will try if it gets me out of here. No pain from incisions. Just occasional gas pains. I feel good. Better than yesterday. I'm walking good, would walk better if I didn't have to walk around with the IV and heart monitor cords hanging everywhere. I am looking forward to each day being easier. :-)
