At goal weight 7 months post op

Thank you all for your advice. Wishing you all well through this journey. <3
  2. Now my problem is letting go of the "losing" aspect of this program and learning how to maintain weight. So many fears of eating normal and gaining weight. I still have a great deal of restriction with my food intake, thankfully. I am strictly a chicken n veggie eater. I have not strayed since surgery (food-wise). I have been very strict since the surgery. I go to the gym 6 days a week x2 hrs a day. I'm 4'11" and weigh 115. I have had a 90 pound weight loss to date. Any suggestions on how I can get over the fear of eating normal .... to maintain my weight? Thank you in advance for ur suggestions!

    Best and worst "compliments"

I get very few comments too, especially at work (where I spend most of the day)! My husband says the women are just jealous and envious and , it would be inappropriate for a male to comment as it could be misconstrued as something more than a compliment. I'm 4'11. My heaviest weight was 206, and I'm currently 140. I went from a pant size 16/18. I'm now a size 6/8. I've lost 66 pounds and for my height, every pound, whether I gain or lose is noticeable. Hang in there!! Your doing great!! Ill be the first to tell you, YOU LOOK AMAZING!! :-)

    Best and worst "compliments"

Oddest comment- From my husbands 80 year old aunt- "Wow, look... You have a neck now!! A long slender neck. And under all that fat, we see how pretty you really are!" :-/
  7. I lost a bushel of apples!! Any way you slice it, I'm happy to the core!! (Badda bing)
  8. I'm 3 months out and my stomach never feels full. It feels like the tube that leads to the stomach gets full, all the way to the throat, where that one last bite will make u puke. But, before that last bite, I know it's time to stop. It's weird.
  9. I'm 3 months out. I went to the mall yesterday to buy slacks for work becuz all my pants are falling off me (size 12), and picked up some size 10s to try on....and to my surprise, the 10s were too big!!! I'm officially in a size 8!! All 4 pairs of slacks I bought were size 8!!! I haven't been a size 8 since .... Well, decades!! I went from a size 12 to size 8.... totally skipping size 10. So excited!! 4'11" Heaviest weight: 206 Pre surgery: 192 Surgery weight: 186 Current weight: 146

    Burps

I was unable to drink anything without that horrible taste, as well. Water even was bad. I lived on ice chips for one month post op, then I was able to tolerate water, crystal light, etc. but, yeah... It took me a month to get that taste out of my mouth. And, trust me, ur breath probably isn't very nice either. That goes away too! Good Luck!!
  12. Went to my 3 month check up yesterday and my dr congratulated me and informed me I'm no longer considered morbidly obese or even obese .... I'm now just considered "overweight"!!! He said I need to lose 21 more pounds to be in the "normal" range!! I'm 4'11. My heaviest weight was 206. surgery weight 186. Current weight 146. From size 16/18 to size 8/10. Doing the happy dance ????
  13. Yes, finally able to cross my legs like a lady!! Ahhhh!! The simple things that mean so much!!

    FINALLY!

That is my next goal!! Can't wait!! :-)

    FINALLY!

It actually crossed all by itself. I was shocked when I looked down and seen my one leg on top of the other. I was so excited I was gonna take a picture of it!! :-)

    Hunger

I'm 4 weeks post op and it does get easier. Although it all still looks soooo good. I tell my husband to just put a plate of food in front of me and let me bury my face in it. I won't eat any of it, I just want to plant my face in it. Lol. And then there's that smell ... When someone's bbqing... OMG!!! You just have to use that old "mind over matter". And, I know my taste buds have changed quite a bit, so I rationalize and tell myself, ehhh it probably will taste nasty anyways. So, I win!! :-)

    Egg drop soup

I use Top Ramen soup (minus the noodles) and add one egg while broth is cooking until egg is fully cooked. I also only use 1/2 the packet of seasoning mix as it can be high in sodium. It's perfect and delicious during the full liquid / soft food stage.
  18. 3 C-sections, a breast reduction, a hysterectomy and now the sleeve (2 weeks post op). Sleeve was a piece of cake compared to the other surgeries I've had. My opinion. I was back to work one week after being sleeved and back to the gym 6 days post op. eating/drinking is the only challenge.
  19. Wylers, huh? Hawaiin Punch SF.. Ill give it a try. I'm desperate to find something I can drink... And enjoy. Water is tough. I opt for ice from Sonic. That's getting me thru with the liquids. Thanks for the suggestions. :-)
  20. Surgery date was 5/17 and my very favorite drink use to be Crystal Light fruit punch. I can't stand it post surgery!!! I've tried every flavor and they all have a horrible after taste!! Will I ever like it again ??? I'm so sad!! I stocked up before surgery too and now it just sits in my pantry. Please tell me it ain't so!! ????
