first appointment tomorrow

I am going to my first appointment with the surgeon, nurse, and nutritionist tomorrow. I have been to the Seminar but that is all so far. I am very nervous and trying to make a list of questions for when I go. I know that I will forget everything I have thought about when I step in her office. Any suggestions?

I am so nervous. What if I don't weigh enough? I haven't been at BMI of 40 so I have been gaining weight to get there because I don't have comorbidities. What if I go through these 6 months and get denied?

advice for this newbie please.

Congratulations on making the decision to head into this wonderful journey!! I'm 3-1/2 post op and have had an incredible ride so far.

I was not over BMI of 40 either. I, too, considered gaining weight, but didnt need to. My dr allowed me just the way I was. BMI 39. I have heard and even considered myself, to wear ankle weights to my drs appt. as opposed to putting on weight, just to hit the targeted BMI of 40.

From my understanding, majority of drs will do surgery as long as you don't gain weight through the process.

Good luck to you!!! The process seems like it takes forever to go though, but, it is soooooo worth the weight/wait!!! ;-)
