Does everyone get a drain tube?

After surgery? Just wondering if that will be left in when we go home or?!

    I did not have a tube I was sleeved in San Antonio TX.

    I did not have a drain tube. My doctor said that they are not necessary. I am sure that if there is more swelling than normal in the abdomen it would be useful in keeping the excess fluid out.
