I dont really have skin issues - slight crepiness on my stomach and perhaps a bit of flab on the upper arm but nothing more than any other nearly 40 year old whose had 3 babies has.

Mine isn't too bad either. I am down 72 lbs from my high pre lapband. The only areas I see are inner thights, stomach and the flabby arms. I am hoping in time everything will shrink up.

I am one of the unfortunate ones. I have major skin issues. I don't know if its because I lost rapidly or that I have yo-yo'd on my weight all my life. Small price to pay though for the success and the new life that the band has given me!

Yeah but geez ousooner look how mush you lost! An entire person could live in the excess area that you lost. I think it is AMAZING how well you have done. Hopefullly some of that will tighten alittle and the rest is up to you. But i am impressed by your loss.

A little extra skin but a whole lot happier i bet!

Thanks, your right I would trade the skin for the weight any day! We will see how much tightens up this next year and I amy look into PS next year. Only for the stomach and thighs. I can live with the arms and turkey neck, they arent too bad and I am sure will tighten some. Thanks again for your encouragement:)

Hey - I had skin issues from way before I got the band. I think you just have to roll the dice and take your chances.

Good Luck! and welcome to LBT~!

Thanks to all of you; just having pre-op jitters I guess; and second guessing myself as usual :faint:

:welldone2: That is a very common feeling and will be fine ;) Just remember that any side effect (saggy skin, etc.) is far better than keeping the weight on. I am no longer borderlined diabetic or have high blood pressure. THe doctor wanted to put me on Meds for both, but I held out (I know not the right thing to do :success1:) but now I don't have either problem.
