Surgery this morning!

So I am now post-op. Sitting in my hospital room right now.

Everything went smoothly apparently, but I had a hiatal hernia that I knew nothing about. So, that was repaired too. I truly hope that this will help my reflux! I was in pain when I woke up, but got a lot of good meds in recovery.

I have been feeling pretty okay until about an hour ago and started having sharp, shooting pains under my ribcage. They really hurt. They just gave me a pain pump though so I hope after I get several doses in that it will subside. I think that the pain is really more from the hernia repair--it hurts fairly bad when I take anything but shallow breaths. I having been sipping Water regularly since I got to my room and haven't had any problems with that. I asked to get up and walk right when I arrived in the room, but was told no because it was too soon. Hopefully I will start walking soon!

Just thought I would give an update, plus I'm pretty bored right now too ;) I am super excited to begin my journey! Thanks to everyone on this board for your posts and answered questions. It has meant a lot in my preparations!
