Getting sleeved on Monday!

I am scheduled for sleeping on Monday! I cannot believe how fast time has gone by! I am very excited yet nervous at the same time. Can anyone share things they are or were nervous about?

I agree! Loose skin and loss of hair worries me as we'll. my doctor said it would be okay to take biotin after surgery which is used to promote hair and nail growth. I have fine hair anyways but luckily I have a best friend that's a beautician so hopefully between her and the biotin something will work out. I am really excited for the future which is a new feeling to me. Can't wait to see how you ladies do :)

I'm also getting sleeved Monday! Like you I'm having a ton of different thoughts. I think right now I'm worried about pain and hoping I don't regrete this. But then I get this overwhelming feeling of excitement thinking about how much my life will be changing for the better :-) Best wishes to you and everyone who will soon be sleeved

How's all the 4/29 sleevers doing?

I also get sleeve Monday. My worst fear is losing my hair and pain.

Sleeved 4/29/13 update...so I'm now 4 days post op. Recovering has been challenging, yesterday was the first day that I felt like I'm getting better. Those gas pains were trapped for the first 2days, I walked took meds but nothing happened until yesterday. I'm trying get enough liquids in but being mindful of going slow. I haven't exprienced any hunger, I'm still on clear liquids and will move to full liquids next week. No nausea or vomiting just lil burps then I stop sipping...I guess its working cause I'm already losing.....in just 4days I lost 7lbs! So I feel like things are moving in the right direction. Still sore but I know this is apart of healing can't wait to feel completely well again.....best wishes to all

I feel you Nikki. Been feeling kinda lethargic and don't care about the sweet smelling bacon cooking in the other room. I've never watched so much TV in my life! Miserable lol

Getting up and off chairs and bed is still a lil struggle. So I'm definitely looking forward towards having my full range of mobility back.

I've also lost about 8lbs in 4 days. That's encouraging. And sugar free popsicles never tasted so good hahaha

Hang in there woman :)

@ladylei0...sounds like we are in the same boat lol but we are making progress. The worst is behind us no were to go but up for here...as the scale goes down :-)

So excited! Talk about healthy, fine women!

Glad to hear you ladies are doing well! I was sleeved on the 29th and as of yesterday I've lost 25 lbs in three weeks. Trying not to be too excited about it as I don't want to jinx things. I think the hardest part for me was one particular incision that was causing so much pain! It's finally worn down. Was the experience better or worse than you ladies thought it would be?

I don't know what I really expected but I am surprised how difficult it is too drink and stay hydrated. There is discomfort when I drink feels like something is squeezing my insides. Another surprise is that I'm never hungry, which I guess is good. I need to find a new love lol

Lol I need to find something to do as well. I never realized how much revolved around or included eating! I too had the discomfort you're speaking of and I had to start taking very small drinks and found that it helped. If I take too big of a drink I get a lot of pressure and end up belching :-/
