I've never heard of them, but I'll eat a spoonful of peanut butter if I'm craving sweets in the evening. Is that similar to what you're talking about?

You can go to a low-carb chat type site or google fat bombs. It is a combo of coconut oil, butter, cream cheese, peanut butter or any combination you prefer. You can make them sweet (cocoa powder, splenda, etc.) or tart (lemon/lime juice) or whatever. You mix all the stuff together and pour into muffin cups or mini muffin tins (depends on the size you want). They keep in the fridge. The point is that they are like 75-90% fat and a couple hundred calories each.

Why would you want such a thing? I must be missing something.

I'm curious too!

Fat helps with satiety. If you're feeling hungry or just want something, rather than eating carbohydrates which cause insulin spike and then drop, which increases hunger, fat keeps you on low carb and satisfies. Just my guess. :)

edit - I don't know how this relates pre vs post-vsg. I think this was mostly for people on a low carb diet. Not necessarily for post vsg

I looked up fat bomb on google and got the urban dictionary definition of it... Hehehe

Not good :o
