How soon after the surgery are you able to walk up and down stairs? My procedure is 4/24 but I have stairs where I live

I walked up and down stairs on the very day of my surgery. I was walking a little slowly, but really didn't have any issues with it.

I was able to use the stairs 2 days post op....just take it slow and make sure you have someone to assist the first time, especially if you're taking any pain meds.

The next day when I got home. Just take it easy.

In the recovery room I was in right after surgery there were some stairs outside my door. I was walking up and down them within 5 hours post op to go check on some other ladies that just had surgery. It was kinda awkward carrying the IV with me but the stairs were no problem.
