I believe it cannot be uncommon. I got IV antibiotics for the whole time I was in the hospital. That will kill off the good bacteria and allow for the overgrowth of yeast.

I wonder if this is a common thing because my mom got thrush as well when she had her surgery.

I have thrush and it the pits, my breath is so rank and my tongue is starting to hurt. I hope to get some yogurt in my system to have it help put the balance of good bacteria back in the old body.

I just had it the day after the surgery but thank god not anymore :)

I think because I'm on clear liquids until my first post-op visit is why I have it. Oh I pray I can move to full liquids. Yogurt can save me lol!

Had surgery on the 24th Wednesday. Well actually, I'm like, surgery? what surgery? I feel amazing! Every now and then a runners cramp where my lower incisions are. If I could drink normal, I would forget I had the procedure done. About to fly home from San Diego with these tight compression socks on. Can someone please tell me if I can take these things off for the flight? They are so uncomfortable under my jeans. Thanks.

Leave them on especially for the flight and sitting. They help in preventing blood clots. We want you home safe.

Thanks. I can't stand them, but I want to do what is best for my health. Looks like I will be compressed the whole way home.

Just think how good they will help you look when recovered. They are your friend today lol.

I know this is a crappy issue but anyone having dark stool? I had my first bm since the surgery and it seemed soft but fine but today (day3) I had another bm that was dark in color. Any help or knowledge is appreciated. I should also note I started an iron supplement today.

Yes, my surgery is scheduled for July 30th! Only a couple days away! Im nervous and excited at the same time!:P:rolleyes:B)
