Fluid retention

I am still retaining some of the fluids I was given in the hospital. I am drinking 64 oz of Water a day and walking. Is there anything else I should do? When will this start to get better? I was sleeved on 4/9/13.

Thanks!!

My first week postoperative appointment I was retaining that fluid, felt bloated, and by the second week postoperative appointment it dropped. I could just tell and the scale told the tale. I am assuming everyone is a little different but it is your body's way of healing and it will come off.

I was sleeved on the 8th and I'm still holding fluids and still swollen. I don't get 64 oz of water yet though. I have lost 6 lbs since Monday. I just know it may take time at first.
