shoulder pain

I had my surgery on Monday and besides feeling soreness in my abdomen my shoulder are hurting more then anything. Right after surgery I felt like someone was standing on my shoulders. I can get up walk and I've even been able to get some liquids down but I can't get rid of this pain in my shoulders. It's mainly when I take a deep breath in.anyone have this same issue should I be worried

I too had my surgery Monday and was told that shoulder pain was from gas used during the procedure. Seems normal but if its intolerable call ur dr. Good luck.

I had the exact same thing, and my surgeon kept on telling me it was gas pain. It went away for me eventually but it took about two weeks. Hope you get better soon, and if it gets to much to take call your surgeon.

Yea I'm pretty sure it's gas that's causing the pain I've been trying to go for walks but the rain and my concerned mom is keeping me inside. I'm doing some walking around the house but getting bored and frustrated not much walking getting done. I'll just have to stick it out till Tuesday for my post opt. I'll call my Dr if the pain is unbearable. Thanks
