Recommended Posts

nervous scared & excited

toy27

most all soon to be sleevers have the above emotions

completely normal

hold on to the excitement part

put the "nerves" on the way back burner

before you know it - it will be tomorrow :)

WLS will be over - you slept right through it

get a good rest in the hospital

walking, walking and more walking is important to get rid of any gas you might have

it also starts to give you some needed "strength"

drinking might be hard at first - take it slow - but due your best :)

you will be on the road to health and happiness and a longer lifetime :)

good luck

speedy recovery :)

It's pretty normal to be nervous. I was! It goes really quick and when you wake up you'll probably be in a little pain (nothing you can't handle) and lots of lovely gas. Walk as much and as often as you can - that's the way to feel better. sip, sip, sip - that is about all you'll be able to handle. Don't drink anything too fast. The first week is a little rough because you're trying to figure stuff out - but by the beginning of the second week I was home free. Make sure you take care of yourself and get plenty of rest. Most of all .... don't look back. You'll love the sleeved life - I certainly do! Good luck and keep us posted. We'll be thinking of you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
