6 weeks til the big day!

I'm new of course. My surgery date is May 14th. I really am excited and not having second thoughts but I've been a bit on the sad side. I think its because it's 4 days after my birthday and that means no bday dinner or cake. It's the first real big change I'm going to have to make. I keep having the "last meal" thoughts also and am not looking forward to the 2 weeks of meal replacements before surgery. Are these feelings anything close to normal?

My date is May 13th! The wait is killing me! You know....I think your feelings are normal! We've lived life this way for so long that its hard/ scarry to change it. Even though we deep down want to change it! Maybe instead of making your b day about food make it about celebrating your life by pampering yourself....get a mani pedi or your hair done....something to make you feel good! Things like that always make me feel good and Lord knows we are going to feel like crap for awhile!

Also, if you didn't already know, there is a FB group for us May sleevers!

Thank you! That is a great idea! I'll have to look up the fb page

If you friend Beth Schweikert Yeack she will add you to the group. Its a private group so I don't think you'd be able to search it out
