March 19th Sleever with question!

I am 8 days post op and I have only had 1 BM, I have combed through the forum and read about everyone going multiple times a day. I do not have this problem though. Is it out of the ordinary for me to not be going? I am not in a lot of pain or discomfort so I didn't know if it's something I should be worried about!?

I'm in the same boat. I took Miralax for 3 days and had one tiny one, 2 days ago and nothing since. I'm not having discomfort but will try Miralax again... ???

I was sleeved on 3/19 too. I have not had a BM since 3/21, which was diarrhea. I called my doctors office on 3/25 asking if I should be concerned that I haven't gone. I have no feeling that I even need to go. The nurse said it was normal. All I've been drinking are clear fluids, not even protein drinks, so there is nothing really creating solid waste, just urine. It is now 3/27 and still nothing. I see the doctor today so I am going to bring it up to him.

I was sleeved on 3/20 and I had my first on 3/25 then another today. They are no solid by any means. I think at this stage for us, it is pretty common. We're really not putting much into our bodies, and what we are is much less junk so the body is using a majority of it.

For sure, bring it up with your doc. From what I have heard (I was worried at day 4 and asked the chat room) it seems to be the norm.

Thank you for your replies!! I see the doc on Friday I just was not sure if it was something to show concern about especially since I don't show any signs of discomfort!

If you are using pain meds(narcotics), they can slow down The movement through your GI Tract too! :).
