What does it mean when a fellow poster became my friend? I like friends! Can you explain the purpose to that? Does it mean they can follow my posts or what? I don't have a clue!

Its easy! Just click on ther person's profile picture to go to their profile page. In the upper right, there are three buttons. The first button says something like, "Add as Friend" or "Send Friend Request". Just click it and the person will get a request! Easy, cheesy!
