Pre-op stuggling!

I know how important it is to stay on pre op diet for liver and other obvious reasons. Mine is sugar free water ice, jello, Popsicles, vegetable broth and 3-4 high protein drinks. I have a pack of leek soup I'm dying to have. It's the power kind (knorr). I'm four days on pre op diet. Help!!!

Does it make a clear broth? I have no idea what that soup is like.

If I remember the Knorr stuff, it's mostly veggies, but it has potato starch and peas and the like in it, all blended, so no "chunks". It's not really "brothy" it has more of a creamy texture. Am I remembering the right one, Colemon70?

Anyhow, you can call and ask if it would be allowed, but I have a sneaking suspicion that isn't what they meant by vegetable broth.

Yes that's the one. :( I know I'm not allowed to have it. I called my NUT to see if I could have plain lettuce to get me by. Not allowed :(. I admire all of you that stuck to the diet. It's very difficult! I'm still on board, as of now! Thanks to vst!

Sounds tough! Mine was a little easier as we were supposed to eat low carb for 14 days and then liquid diet the day before surgery. Good luck. It will definitely be worth it!
