Not able to Drink Water

I had my surgery on March 5, 2013. I have already been to the ER due to severe leg pain, which I was told the pain came from dehydration. I just can not stand drinking plain water. I have tried Crystal Light and that stuff tastes horrible. Any suggestions????

Mio, Gatorade, Vitamin Water Zero, Clear broth, herbal tea... I had surgery almost 8 months ago and am only now tolerating plain water. Staying hydrated this early out needs to be a priority, even before getting your protein in. You will soon be 2 weeks post op, if our post op diet was anything like most, you should be able to add all liquids in tomorrow including milk, protein shakes and strained soup.

You have to get those liquids in. Even if it one sip at a time. Perhaps try crushed ice chips? I had those the first few days and it worked well for me.

Good luck to you.

Might sound crazy lol but koolaid . They have this little thing that u squeeze in to your liking and its sugar free . Its so good. Also 4C has the pavkets of different stuff such as lemonade , ice tea, pomegrante, there is tang also. There is usually at my supermarket a big selection and its all SUGAR FREe
