I just got home yesterday and I'm two days post op. I'm feeling really good. I have some pain but really nothing major and defiantly nothing that the meds aren't controlling. That first twenty four hours was pretty painful but once the gas pains started to die down it got a lot better. I'm taking in my fluids and full liquids pretty well. I'm afraid of overdoing it so I'm taking it pretty slow, I'm sure I could take a bit more in. I am a bit worried about getting in a enough Protein and such but I'm sure it will get better over time. I haven't really felt hungry or anything yet so that's a good thing. Anyway I wanted to check in and say how great I'm feeling and happy I am that I did this!

Great! Glad it is going well! Keep walking, sipping, walking sipping. It gets better every day!

Congrats and welcome to the loser's bench!! :) For the first few days, concentrate on staying hydrated. You'll get the Protein in once the swelling goes down some, but the Water is a must. :) Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
