is anyone 1 month post op?

Recommended Posts

I'm a month post op, I think this week I've hit a stall. I've lost 30lbs so far. I think because I'm not walking much, it is hard it's been so cold and snowing here and now of course I am sick. I try to eat about 4 oz of Protein, and something on the side but I don't really weigh my food anymore, unless its something like lox then I weigh it.

I was sleeved 2/7/2013 and have lost 26 including preop, 16 of it since surgery. I lost 13 lbs in the first 10 days and have been losing slow for the past 3 weeks. The scale didn't move for about 2 weeks. It sucks, but I am following my Dr's orders (currently in the soft food phase). I was still on full liquids when it slowed down. 60+ g Protein, 64+ oz Water, and 600-800 cal. I'm trying to keep my carbs low, but my Calcium supplements account for most of them. I am walking 3-4 times per week, so mathematically, I should be losing over 2-3# per week. I wish!

I will be one month post op this week. I have lost 43 pounds, including my 10 day pre op diet. I have been on a stall for about ten days ( I'm guessing it has something to do with my period - I've had that the past ten days, too.) I am frustrated, any ideas on what I can do? I'm DYING to work out because I know it will help.. But my doc won't clear me for another 2.5 weeks for physical activity.

I know I only lost 20lbs this month. I think the people who loose more weight more. I was 245 now 225. It's true for most people who have a lot more to loose they will see more weight loss the 1st month.

Crazy how mostly everyone stalls on the 3rd week. I was stalled for about 2 weeks. Hopped on scale yesterday and now down 2 lbs. Hopefully no more stalls anytime soon.

I've been bouncing between 241 and 239 for two weeks! Grr. I'm down about 23 pounds since surgery though. I'm eating about 1/4 to 1/2c a meal. My surgery date was 2/12.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
