Sucralfate

I have been given sucralfate and pantoprazole for severe acid. My question is ...I'm supposed to take the sucralfate 4 times a day....but it states you have to take it on an empty stomach (1 hour prior or 2-3 hours after a meal). I eat 5-6 meals a day to try and get all of my food in, so how does everyone else take it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated:)

Does that mean you only take it once a day? Also, I meant to ask in my first post does this medicine help with excess saliva?

No, your doc ordered it four times daily. Take it before your meals ( breakfast lunch dinner ) and before you go to bed.
