!Pre-op diet help!

I am on week 5 of my pre-op diet. I was only supposed to be on it for 3 weeks but my surgery got delayed for 2 extra weeks. I have cheated some this week and my surgery is March 12th. I am so scared about making my liver fat again. I've lost 25 lbs total since staring this process. Am I going to be okay if I stick to the diet from now until Tuesday?? What does everyone think?? I'm really worried!

Hi????

I am struggling with my pre op diet as well. I've talked to many who didn't do a pre op diet. They did the liquid 24 hours before and had no issues. I'm not saying to do other than the doctor has told you just sharing what I know and that I share your struggle.

I think I am pretty lucky - my Doc does not require a pre-op diet, just NPO after midnight the night before as with any surgery. For you that have Docs that require a limited diet pre-op, hang in there! Good luck!
