Missing periods...

I've tried searching and can't find anything...

I know our cycles get a little messed up after surgery, but I had a period the first 3 months after surgery and haven't had one since. I'm almost 7 months out so I haven't had one for at least 3 cycles. I was low bmi to start and have lost 50 lbs. I've been on the pill and am not pregnant.

Anyone go through this? When did your period come back?

The number one thing that I have heardis that your hormones are effected when you lose weight and that is why many people become pregnant after infertility. I know you are likely not pregnant but the pill is rendered ineffective with the use of antibiotics. I don't know if you were on them but if you were, think back and see how long, it could throw you off and if you were relying on the pill, you might want to test just to be sure.

I did and it was negative. Phew! I just wish I had a normal cycle again.

I'm almost 5 months out I had one in mid Nov not one again o.0. Had my blood work and hormones tested came back normal. I'm not lossing much weight or inches maybe 1lb every few weeks. So having my uterus ultrasound in the next few weeks just to be safe.

Whew! After being infertile for so many years myself, I unfortunately know all about this stuff...hoping and waiting and losing weight and it never happening. Thank goodness for my Dr, I now have a 3year old, love of my life.
