Missing periods...

Recommended Posts

I've tried searching and can't find anything...

I know our cycles get a little messed up after surgery, but I had a period the first 3 months after surgery and haven't had one since. I'm almost 7 months out so I haven't had one for at least 3 cycles. I was low bmi to start and have lost 50 lbs. I've been on the pill and am not pregnant.

Anyone go through this? When did your period come back?

The number one thing that I have heardis that your hormones are effected when you lose weight and that is why many people become pregnant after infertility. I know you are likely not pregnant but the pill is rendered ineffective with the use of antibiotics. I don't know if you were on them but if you were, think back and see how long, it could throw you off and if you were relying on the pill, you might want to test just to be sure.

Whew! After being infertile for so many years myself, I unfortunately know all about this stuff...hoping and waiting and losing weight and it never happening. Thank goodness for my Dr, I now have a 3year old, love of my life.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
