I haven't tried that one yet.. but my nut told me that it had to have at least 20gms of protein no more than 10 carbs and no more than 5 gm from fat.. the only protein shake that i found to fit this criteria so far is the "pure protein" and it doesn't taste bad at all... but i'm a newbie too so let me know if there is something i don't know..

Thanks! Yeah my NUT said less than 5 grams of carbs and 20-30g protein...finding something that low in carbs has been a little difficult but this brand has no carbs, no fat and 30g protein ( and it comes in fun flavors like birthday cake!)

oh wow.. maybe i need to try that one.. is it expensive? Where do you find it at?

I saw it on GNCs website. It was like $30-40. I haven't actually been into a GNC yet bc I've heard they are very expensive :-(

That's funny - I'm drinking their Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor right now. Here is their website: http://tryabouttime.com/ They have an inexpensive sample pack that they sent quickly.

Glad you posted. Im going to try this brand.

Does anyone know... Is protein powder different from the meal replacement shakes?

Does anyone know... Is Protein powder different from the meal replacement shakes?

Yes, meal replacement shakes are higher calorie, they are designed to replace the full spectrum of nutrients & many are designed to help one to gain weight. Protein Shakes are designed to delive large amounts of protein in the least amount of calories/carbs.

The best protein shake I have had is the Premier Protein. Chocolate. The vanilia is also good. They have 30 g of protein. I get them at Sam's!

Has anyone compared About time to Premier Protein? I'd be curious to know. I like premier but I would like to try different favors.

I got some premier protein and they are good! However, there is a brand called nectar made by syntax and if you google them it will take you to their website and you can order some samples! They have tons of flavors and I am looking fowler war to doing this soon :-)

I buy Lean Shakes from gnc. I like the vanilla bean and it has 25 grams of protein and 3 grams of sugar. They are on sale right now through this month. If you sign up to get their emails then tgey give you a coupon for $10 off. I've bought 4 cases already.

I buy the about time from amazon... Much cheaper than their site!! Chocolate is just ok, but I squirt a little sf chocolate syrup in it w skim mike and it's good. Vanilla is horrible chalky ... Gotta figure out what to add to it
