Weight loss for 300+ sleevers!

I'm 5'5-5'6 and weigh 334. Im on my pre op diet now and I plan in being about 320 surgery date.

I'm just curious how fast or slow the weight is coming off for people like me. Do you work out? How often?!

Thanks!!

  • I started at 338 & 5'7" and had lost 50lbs by my 10/10 surgery date. I have lost another 58 since surgery. Honestly, any loss is a good loss in my book. Good Luck!

  • My stats are very similar to yours. I had surgery Dec. 18 and initially the weight came off really fast. I'm 7 weeks out now and have lost 64 pounds.

I was in the same boat and the only way I can break my stalls is by doing the bootcamp diet that's on this forum some where. It works for me every time

Thanks for the reminder about the boot camp. Congratulations on your awesome weight loss!

I started at 310 and am presently 297. I had surgery on 12/6. My nutritionist (who is also an MD) thinks it is because of the medication I take. I still hope to start losing soon.

My highest was 379 (well highest known) today Im 305. Soooo close to the 200's!! I lost 20 pre op and was sleeved on November 14th. It's been great so far I feel Sooo fantastic!! I'm in a bit of a stall right now but I know it will break. Even just losing the 74lbs I have I feel amazing and know it will only get better!

I was sleeved October 5th2012 day of surgery I was 386 today I am 320

Yay we were sleeved on the same day.

My highest weight was 360. I lost 20+ lbs on the pre-surgery liquid diet. My surgery was on 1/10/13 and I am down 57 lbs total (including my pre surgery loss. It has been much slower the last couple of weeks but my NUT said that is perfectly normal because my body is recovering from the trauma of the surgery. It is a long process but it is worth it.

i started this journey at 332 and i'm 5'8". i was sleeved 12/10/12, day of surgery i was 300, today i am 268. i think i am losing slowly and so does my doctor but i am doing everything i am supposed too and that's all i can do. next week i will be upping my workouts so hopefully that will kick it into high gear. but total i am down 64lbs.

I started at 338 and am 4months postop down to 251thats a total of 87lbs down fingers crossed i reach my 100lbs loss as expected by my doctor by the sixth month, i think i dropped fairly quickly because i only had a 3day pre op liquid diet... So good luck everyone i remember my first excitment of being in the 200's trust me it would soon be a faded memory if u eat right and do a tad bit of walking you will soon be aproaching onderland i may be 51lbs aways but i never in a million years thot i would be here today... So lets keep moving everyone it wont be long gooooodluck!!!!!!!

I was 343 before surgery on 8-22-12. As of 2-22-13, 6 months post op, I'm 257. So a loss of 86 lbs. I'd hoped to lose 100 by now, but I'm very happy with 86! I'm hoping to stay on the right track so I can lose another big chunk by my one year surgiversary! I'd love to be in onderland by then.

I'm 5'7" and started at 358, surgery was march 19th and weighed in at 247 this morning. Loss has really slowed the last two months due to my lack of trying but am turning up the gym time, protein and water and hope to get things going again. Have gone from 3x shirts to xl and 38 in pants down to 16/18. Ultimate goal is to be a perfect size 12.

Edited to add: oopse I didn't realize I posted in here before lol but now I put a picture with it lol
