Mine was done yesterday at international center of excellence which goes thru the same accreditation as COEs in the United States' date=' one of the other ga

Ls done yesterday is anRN and said the facility and care outshhines hospitals in the US[/quote']

Congrats! That's what I keep hearing. Several years ago I had appendectomy surgery... Well one of the nurses tripped over an IV in my arm, damaging my vein. End result... Blood has to be taken out of my hand (kinda painful) and I can no longer donate blood. So US care is not as superb as we like to think.

Me too! I am having problems with my approval. my surgery was supposed to be monday and was denied to the point where I had to find a new doctor it was denied the Friday before! I can't sleep either! I found a new doctor on Friday and the nurse submitted my paper work at 9:15 am on monday so I am waiting this week for the approval and if I get it I get the surgery this monday! This is the most stressed I have ever been I am so nervous!

Hey dat_ sweetmami I got a call today and I am approved, so it took 3 business days to hear back.

Yeah

Lol... I think that's the response i get when I tell someone I am going to MX... Lol I know I know... Well at least he's not performing my procedure in his nasty garage' date=' I payed for the couch hey hey. Only kidding.

Yes, I have researched those things. Statistical information is great, but customer testimonies are way better. I am using a Doctor that many people on this forum uses, the hospital is small but surpasses that of a US hospital ( so ppl say), he does countless procedures and is certified to do so ( no black market), also the hotel I will be staying in when I get released from the hospital is a Marriott...[/quote']

I love how your so positive about it...you've done all your research ...THAT'S ALWAYS GREAT! It sounds like its going to be a great idea. Lots of ppl have done it the same way you are about to do it. So it's out of the norm. People freak out when you think about going to another country to get it done because of course there are risk...but there's risk here in America.

WOOOOHHHOOOO....YIPPPIIIEEEEEE YA YAY. HOW EXCITING !!!!! WHAT INSURANCE DO YOU HAVE?

I am in Michigan and I have Blue Care Network. I didn't 't think that I would find out so soon. Insurance is very funny I have a child with special needs and they won't cover things like special car seats and special seating for the house, so I was prepared for them to deny my surgery.
