Hi Everyone - I'm sure that this was covered somewhere but I can't find it. Can someone tell me approximately how long the surgery lasts? I know it is probably different for everyone but a general idea would be good. My surgery is 1/30 - I am so excited and starting to get a little bit nervous! Thanks in advance!

Mine was 30min of surgery. But in or like 2 hours for prep, anesthesia, surgery etc...

Approximately - 2-3 hours total counting prep, surgery, recovery, etc. The surgery itself is usually only about 30-60 minutes depending on what they have to do in there. If you need a hiatal hernia repair, gallbladder removal, liver biopsy, etc. done in conjunction with sleeve procedure expect a little longer.

was at hospital at 6 AM, was walked into surgery at 7AM, woke at 10:30AM.

I had to check in at 10 for a noon surgery which ended up getting pushed back to 130. I had single site surgery and was told it could take anywhere from 1-1/2 to 2 hours. And it took an hour. No idea what time I woke up. Maybe 5ish?

Mine lasted spot on about 2 hours. Some go quicker than that. I had previously had a lapband although it had been removed prior to this surgery I still had some scar tissue to work around.
